For some reason subtraction was difficult. Perhaps after focusing so wholly on addition.
Spelling was more fun. Even though she guessed some words incorrectly, the tried she made were awesome. And we learned the VCE syllable rule (vowel consonant - silent e). She repeated it back to her Dad today.
Monday we also read a couple of chapters in Poppy and talked about chlorophyll.
Tuesday we woke with a sick brother. So we watched a NOVA special on Terra Cotta warriors.
Thankfully her Dad stayed home w brother and I took her to piano.
She thankfully entertained herself and did some reading.
We did some Build Your Library, SOTW reading about Carthage and Phoenicians and found where they used to live on the map. We also plotted the founding of Carthage on our timeline.
